Will cutting back on cigarettes help my health any?
I smoke about a pack a day and am 18 years old female . I would smoke off and on but wasn't addicted between 14 16 and then I became addicted at 16 so smoking for two years. I don't think I am emotionally ready to quit smoking but I do want to better my health. I was wondering if just cutting down say smoke half the amount with NO INTENT TO QUIT would help my health any..? Is smoking 6 cigarettes a day just as dangerous as smoking 20? Or is it helpful smoking less? Please don't go into why I should quit or how I am stupid for smoking...I already know. I just wanted to ask this question because I can't find a good answer. Thank you.I thought I mentioned that I already know the effects of smoking...I do. Some of you didn't help, you just said effects. Others assumed I am disgusting, which is not true. My brother who is 16 does not smoke and I do and my teeth are whiter than his so....come on. I have heard people say one cigarette is the same as a whole pack and I can't find anything online about cutting down with no intent to quit, I thought there might be some people on here that would give me a good answer. Only two on here have even been nearly helpful. So thanks
